Paige Pins Divas Champion Nikki Bella on WWE Main Event
It’s been a while indeed since we had a Divas and KOs feature here, but this one definitely warrants some attention. We are of course talking about the match Paige and Nikki put on at WWE Main Event, the match of the evening, the best of the show and indeed a rather solid, suspense-building, non-title confrontation between the two, which showcased Paige’s ring prowess yet again, as well as Nikki’s ever-improving wrestling game.
The match did in fact feel like it carried importance, and the crowd reaction was great as well. These are not your grandmother’s divas anymore. There was actually wrestling there, and like her or not, you have to admit that Nikki has been perfecting her trade, progressing by leaps and bounds lately. Her athleticism never an issue, she is slowly but surely becoming worthy of that belt she so proudly carries around. The way she subtly worked Paige’s arms and shoulders was in obvious preparation for the Rack Attack, so she did in fact create her own little in-match story there, to make sure there’s a head and a tail to it all, a most welcome – and rather unexpected - development from a WWE diva. The overall back-and-forth was great too, Nattie and Brie got involved a bit as well, and Paige’s finisher, the Ram-Paige did not disappoint either. The pin was neat as well, a nice and tight leg-hook to let the champ know that the top challenger owned her that day.
The bottom line: give these women some time and they’ll prove their worth in the squared circle…the women of NXT are probably more impressive than the Divas of the main roster because they get more time as well…let them have that time. The audience appreciates it, and by making matches such as this one become common between the divas, one would definitely do everyone a huge a favor…

Stephanie McMahon Defeats Brie Bella at SummerSlam with Help from Nikki
Stephanie McMahon may not have stepped into the ring for a decade, but when push came to shove, she showed why she was rightfully the face of the largest and most successful wrestling organization on the planet.
Bellas Get Obliterated by Stephanie McMahon after SummerSlam Contract Signing
The WWE is obviously doing its best to milk the current Brie Bella/Stephanie McMahon feud to the max, and why shouldn’t they? It’s indeed been the first relatively exciting and meaningful storyline involving the Divas’ division for quite some time now.
First SmackDown of 2014: Nikki Bella Defeats Aksana
The match kicked off with great intensity as the two combatants were definitely feeling each-other. There was one low point in it though, when the two killed the momentum with some prolonged arm-submissions and with Aksana’s slithering around which – we get it, you’re sassy – is just unnecessary and pretty darn boring, especially if she plans to pull it in every one of her matches. She has the skills and the moves and she just no longer needs cheap filler like that, someone please tell her that.
Total Divas Episode 10 Review
It has been a while since I managed to write anything for women-wrestling.org, as I had all sorts of issues come up in my personal life, so I’m a bit late on this one (watched it back when it aired, but only got around to doing the review now) and I missed the episode 9 wrap-up completely, but it is what it is…at the end of the day I shouldn’t be the one to complain.
SmackDown (Nov 8) AJ Lee and Tamina Score Win Over Funkadactyls
This match was a bit hum-ho, the same way every tag match Tamina Snuka and AJ are involved in lately…It wasn’t like it was going to yield any kind of big surprises storyline-wise, and from a technical perspective, it was as mellow as it could get…
SuperStars (Nov 1) Naomi vs Aksana
I know it’s a little late for recapping this match, but I couldn’t get around to doing it until now, this being a one-pony show, as I have to make a living too. The reason I decided to go over this match anyway was a simple one: this one sports a quality few of the other divas matches possess: it’s actually a good, entertaining match, the crowd seems to be into it as well, and that is much more than can be said about 90% of the women’s stuff that the WWE puts out there these days.
Smackdown (November 1, 2013): AJ Submits to Natalya
A mere few days after she forced Brie Bella to submit to her in their championship bout at Hell in a Cell, it was AJ’s turn on Smackdown to unconditionally surrender to a superior wrestler and to be yet again carried out at the end of a 3-on-3 tag team bout by Tamina Snuka, in what has now been turned into a traditional march of defeat for her.
Hell in a Cell: Brie Bella Misses Chance, Submits to AJ
The Divas Championship was on the line at Hell in a Cell a couple of days ago, and given the build-up to the AJ vs Brie Bella contest, this one was not an easy one to predict at all.
AJ Pinned by Brie Bella Again – (RAW, October 21, 2013)
The action was relatively fast (the divas did in fact manage to squeeze quite a bit into those seven and a half minutes), and while there were no out-of-this-world moves to write home about, overall the match was a decent one.
Gail Kim Picks Up Knockouts Title – TNA Storyline Eerily Similar to WWE’s
Bound for Glory was supposed to deliver a major moment for TNA’s Ailing Knockouts division, and from a technical perspective it did not miss the mark.
Tamina vs Brie Bella: is This How it’s Done? - Monday RAW (October 14, 2013)
The Monday RAW match-up between Tamina and Brie Bella was supposed to be a sort of a filler, a mere storyline builder, but it has apparently earned rave reviews from various experts, who were quick to point it out that it wasn’t supposed to be as good as it eventually turned out to be.
