Crystal Carmichael
Crystal Carmichael may look like a hot model and that’s probably the reason why many wrestling fans misjudge her at first sight, considering her a wannabe actress who’s looking to make a name for herself through T&A in the ring, but nothing could be further from the truth. Crystal is in fact a red-blooded wrestler in every way. She first took a liking to the squared circle antics as a kid when she watched a lot of pro wrestling. She wrestled in high school (yes, she actually wrestled guys there) and was quite successful at it. It was then that she knew she wanted to pursue the sport further. A while ago she had a picture up on her myspace page, which showed her wrestling a boy in a singlet in high school.
Always the athletic type, Crystal couldn’t join a pro wrestling school until she was almost 18. When she eventually did join, it became clear to her that pro wrestling was indeed the sport for her.
Crystal is the type of lady wrestler we here at women-wrestling.org truly appreciate: she doesn’t push a gimmick which distances her from her femininity. On the contrary, also known in the ring as “The Diva” she is all for looking and being girly while kicking ass big time. After all, why shouldn’t a lady wrestler be feminine? Her in ring attires suited her glamour attitude too. She wore fishnets/fencenets with short-shorts, or shiny unitards for her matches, with bustiers and other such feminine items. She has wrestled for Lady Victoria wearing hot shiny one piece bathing suits and jumpsuits. The first time I’ve become aware of her existence in indy wrestling was at a Battleground Branson event in the late 90s/early 00s, when she wore shiny pantyhose with short shorts and a bustier top. She wrestled Maria Montana in her match there as far as I can remember and she lost after being forced to submit to a Boston crab.

While she has never really been a true jobber (she even beat male opponents every now and then) Crystal would often lose her matches, and when she did, she would do so in a more than spectacular manner. Her extreme flexibility allowed her to be folded and bent into spectacular submission holds, and the way she used to sell the plain-old clothesline was something to behold as well.
Although she has always said she had to look out for her pretty face, Crystal was never the one to shy away from high-impact, highly spectacular wrestling moves. Given her interest in Shidokan submission grappling and the thorough grappling training she’s received, her mat-grappling skills were among the best too.
She’s wrestled in a Pindown Girls tournament too, where she pretty much destroyed Nikki and her troupe of amateur lady wrestlers.
Later in her career, Crystal wrestled under the ring-name Crystal White, so if you were wondering: yes, the two names do point to the same wrestler.

Whether or not she’s still active in the ring, we don’t currently know. She’s been off the radar screen for a while, although in a post a year or so ago on her myspace page she said she was looking forward to returning to the ring.
There are several vendors out there that sell Crystal Carmichael matches, among them Lady Victoria’s site.
She also did 3 matches for Womens’ Extreme Wrestling, of which she lost 2 (to Athena and Bobbi Jo Dollar III – both via pins), and won 1 (against Christie Ricci).
Crystal “The Diva” Carmichael receives a nasty Michinoku Driver from Christie Ricci.
