Exactly how old DWW is, is something I can’t personally fill you in on (just found out the company was launched way back in 1992). What I do know though is that ever since my interest in the sport was sparked, DWW has been around. I remember checking it out when I was like 18-19 and that was a good 10 years ago, and chances are they had been around way before I ever found them. The reason why the company has managed to survive for this long and why it keeps thriving while other similarly-themed operations keep kicking the bucket is probably the style of action they promote. DWW is as serious a ladies wrestling operation as it gets. Pretty much ALL their matches (or at least the overwhelming majority of them) feature genuine, 100% competitive action. I won’t review any particular match here for you, for the simple reason that I have purchased and viewed hundreds of them over the years and wouldn’t know where to begin, but I will clue you in on what you can expect from DWW videos. DWW maintains a large roster of girls at all times, who wrestle at company-organized special events. Such special events are apparently held all the time in Germany and in the above mentioned few countries, because new videos keep popping up on the site regularly, on an almost weekly basis, so there’s never any shortage of action. |
The matches are always intense and extremely competitive, and the women of DWW can truly wrestle. The format they mostly promote is the pin/submission style, and their girls appear to be truly passionate about what they do. They go through hell or high water to win matches and the genuine nature of the action becomes obvious when emotions run wild and the combatants need to be separated by the refs to prevent the escalation of the hostilities. It is not a rare occurrence to see the loser of a bout in tears. The other thing that makes all types of DWW matches extremely attractive is that they have girls who have amassed tons of experience over the years. These girls are strong and skilled too, and if you watch them wrestle, they will leave no doubt in your mind that they're true masters of the sport, so much so that they would have no problems whatsoever defeating similarly sized males in a 100% genuine and competitive match-up. Other girls are smaller but extremely talented, and watching them defeat bigger and stronger ladies on account of their superior technical skills alone is a true delight indeed. Just to give you an idea about how truly authentic the matches are: it was a DWW match in which I first saw a skilled girl wrestler extract a screaming and tearful submission from her opponent in a few seconds via a brutal leg grapevine. It was also a DWW video that treated me to my very first full-scale, fully competitive women's wrestling tournament. |
DWW matches are not just shows, which the viewer watches for simple visual delight, not really caring about who wins or who loses. DWW wrestling matches are true contests of skill and strength and you will find yourself taking sides and cheering for one of the girls from the edge of your seat. My favorite DWW matches are the ones billed “Non topless wrestling” at the site. In these matches, girls wear one piece bathing suits/leotards, or bikinis and the focus is 100% on the quality of the action. Don’t get me wrong, the action is equally swift and often brutal in the topless matches too, as girls get tangled up in intricate packages of entwined legs and arms, sweating and grunting, encouraged by their trainers from the sidelines in some sort of exotic-sounding language. DWW has mixed bouts too (not exactly our cup of tea, but of equally good quality regardless), oil matches in which combatants bare all, or completely bare oil-less matches and various catfight scenarios. The bottom line is, DWW pretty much has it all, from bridal catfight scenarios, to 100% serious pin/submission style tournaments and even in-ring MMA bouts (these are particularly brutal and for that very reason they do not make my list of personal preferences, but you may like them nonetheless). |
The site has a whole bunch of certifications, and it accepts payments through credit cards as well as through an online payment solution called wirecard (which one can supposedly set up in a few seconds). |
