These wrestling bouts may take place in a ring or on a mat, their common denominator is that they all feature fully competitive combat. Most competitive ladies’ matches are organized according to pin/submission rules. Pins only or submissions only matches are also fairly common. DWW (Danube Women Wrestling) is probably the most important producer of such competitive female wrestling videos, but Fightingstyle and TPC-Wrestling are also recognized companies. Famous competitive lady wrestlers are Unique Leigh, Storm and Lady Ellen. Combatants are free to choose their own attires for these bouts, and thus you’ll see everything from them being completely naked to wearing full body unitards. Most wrestlerettes opt for one piece lycra bathing suits though because they are revealing enough and yet they are comfortable and safe in the same time. Some competitive mat matches feature special humiliation twists in the end, when the winner strips the loser, gives her a hair-wash in the middle of the ring or keeps her in a compromising position for a long time. |
Real competitive pin/submission bouts will usually end in a body or head-scissor submission, as a fall is much easier to attain that way than via pin. I once even witnessed a screaming submission in a grapevine spread. Most falls do not come about via submission because women prefer to submit rather than be caught in a certain body position – as I read somewhere. They’re more frequent because in real wrestling it is easier to squeeze a submission out of an opponent than to pin her shoulders to the mat for a 5 or a 10 count. Competitive mat wrestlerettes are usually in a great condition physically and many of them view their sport as a way to stay fit. Such competitive matches are also great in a round-robin tournament format. |
